Are you organizing a corporate event? Or maybe a charity ball? Chances are you want to get as much engagement as possible from your attendees in the leadup to and during your event.
Good social media engagement can raise your brand profile quicker than anything else and ensure your attendees can’t wait to attend your event.
Here are a few ideas to help you along your way…
Live streaming
It’s never been easier to livestream thanks to Instagram Stories and Facebook Live. Make sure to livestream exciting snippets during the run up to the event and key highlights on the day (such as auctions, speeches, entertainment). You can use this footage to promote future events and to give non-attendees a flavour of the event so they attend in future.
Incentivise your attendees!
There are some many creative ways to encourage your attendees to engage with you at the event – for example you could run a competition which attendees can enter by using the event hashtag or by uploading a photo to Instagram of them with your branded merchandise. You can even get social media – powered vending machines now – how great is that?! You can fill them with branded giveaways and attendees can share or tweet with your hashtag to get their hands on the merchandise.
Get attendees to interact via social media at the event
There are so many great apps you can get now to encourage attendee engagement at your event and boost social media engagement at the same time. Slido is really simple to use and enables attendees to ask questions to panels and tweet at the same time. It also allows you to run live polls and then post the results to social media during the event. Taggbox is another great option if you are looking to create a personalised live social media wall.
Have a GIF booth (we had to get it in there somewhere… 🙂 )
GIF booths are not just fun for attendees but they also give attendees an opportunity to share their experience with your brand in real time and get people at home to follow along. If you want to really optimise social sharing, add your event’s hashtag to the corner of each photo to encourage even more sharing.
